Let’s face it, Google is the number 1 search engine in the world. Our potential patients will use it to look for an acupuncturist. That’s why it’s super important to rank high. On the first page FOR SURE! And also being one of the first 3 results on THAT first page. Most of the time, people won’t scroll down and won’t check the second page. I know I don’t, do you?

So, how do you rank your acupuncture practice high on Google?

I get asked that all the time. So I created this short video to point you in the right direction. Watch it or read the bullet points below.

But remember, there is NO over night success EVER! Consistency, dedication and passion for what you do, will eventually lead you to rank number 1 on Google search in your area.

I’ve been in practice since 2003. My website has been around for a while but I make sure it’s stays fresh and current. Over the years, I have changed the theme and design 4 times (and I’m about to change it again soon!)

I update my content and blog consistently. I have been at the top of Google in my area for a long time, without paying anyone for SEO work.

These are my recommendations based on experience.

Blog Consistently

Google loves new content. Blogging consistently shows Google you’re an expert in your field and have a lot of education to provide the world. Also, if you don’t update your site every week or every few weeks with new content, Google thinks your site is dormant and won’t bother to show it to potential patients.
Blog about the benefits of TCM, with pictures, videos or written content. Now your site is ALIVE, and will be taken seriously by Mister Google 🙂

Social Media

Blast your content all over your social media, so Google can see you as an expert and rank your site accordingly. The more shares, comments, likes you get from an article, the more Google pays attention to you.

List Your Practice

List your practice on Google Places so you can show up on Google map. That’s super important for local businesses! Also, if you ever want to pay for Google Ads, you need to be listed on Google places anyway.

YouTube Video

What is the 2nd search engine in the world? YouTube! And who owns YouTube? Google! This connection is huge!
Create little videos and upload them to You Tube, then embed them on your site, making sure you use key words in your title and description. If your creativity fails you, embed other people’s YouTube videos on your site. Google will absolutely love you!

Google reviews

Ask your existing patients to give you an honest review on Google. Make it easy for them to do so, send them the link.

External Links

The more people land on your site, the more Google will notice you. Make sure you have as many external links as possible. List your practice on other sites (acupuncture and natural health directories such as AcuFinder).

Also, write articles for popular websites. Become a guest blogger on the Huffington Post or Mind Body Green. It’s pretty easy to get published, these sites need your knowledge and articles. Go ahead, get creative and watch your website rank #1 on Google!

I hope that was useful, so keep rocking it using TCM,
