TCM Liver Diagnosis: Inquiry & Patterns of the Liver System
The Liver system in Chinese Medicine plays a vital role in emotional balance, Qi flow, and overall health. One of the most common patterns I see in the Western world is Liver Qi stagnation — we’ve all experienced it at some point! Stress, frustration, and emotional repression can easily lead to this imbalance.
As practitioners, our job is to be detectives — asking the right questions and recognizing subtle signs to create a personalized TCM Liver diagnosis and effective treatment plan.
In this video, I break down how to approach inquiry questions for the Liver system, so you can better differentiate between patterns like:
-
Liver Blood Deficiency
-
Liver Fire blazing
-
Liver Yin deficiency
You’ll also learn what symptoms to look for and what key questions to ask your patients during diagnosis. Enjoy the video below and let me know what you think!
And as always, keep rocking it with TCM! 💚

Way to go Clara ! ! ! Outstanding presentation. I am not an acupuncturist or student in a “program” but I AM all about self empowerment & doing all “I” can to keep me healthy… Being 71 and in good health is a blessing … as I don’t “do” drugs or doctors…… I TRULY honor the fact that our bodies innately know how to heal & any symptoms are just good signals that something is out of balance & needs some attention… soooo acupressure is my way. I also have a “MA ROLLER” have had it for 42 years …. you lie on it & the weight of the body relaxes the muscles on each side of the spine keeping it in alignment and energy flowing… I love my sauna too……… and fasting is another part of my lifestyle. PEACE I always look forward to your emails….
So happy to hear you’re enjoying learning TCM 🙂
