Show Notes

Today, I’m excited to share a more unique episode of the AcuPro Show. It’s one I know many of us will appreciate as it dives deep into the discussion of feminine energy. However, I’m not talking about gender or societal constructs but about the yin and yang energy within all of us. Today, I’m joined by Dr. Irene Sanchez-Celis, a passionate acupuncturist and someone who brings contagious energy to the conversation.

A Journey to Embrace Feminine Energy

Irene starts by sharing an inspiring story about her journey from Mexico to becoming an acupuncturist in British Columbia. Growing up in a family deeply rooted in politics, she was initially encouraged to pursue law or medicine. She chose medicine but quickly realized that the traditional, patriarchal structure of medical training didn’t resonate with her sensitive nature. It wasn’t until her social service period in Chiapas that she experienced a transformational shift, discovering the wonders of Chinese medicine and energy work. This realization was pivotal and led her to embrace the healing arts, especially acupuncture and energy medicine.

Understanding Feminine and Masculine Energy

One key topic we explored is the idea of feminine energy vs. masculine energy. Just like with yin and yang, both energies exist within each of us, regardless of gender. The key is maintaining a balance. With the demands of a productivity-driven world, many of us have embraced the outward-focused, yang energy at the expense of the yin.

An interesting point Irene mentions is the contrast between the male 24-hour cycle, connected more to the sun, and the female 28-day cycle, which is in sync with the moon. This rhythmic difference can often lead to misalignments in relationships, as we’re not attuned to operate on the same schedules. It’s fascinating how our biological rhythms can influence our energy, behavior, and even relationships.

Embracing Your Womb’s Wisdom

Irene introduced me to the concept of connecting with one’s womb space, which I found incredibly enlightening. Understanding the different types of womb states—from damp to a healthy womb—can provide amazing insights into our well-being. Irene offers a free womb quiz, which is like a holistic health assessment based on Chinese medicine principles, to help people start this journey of self-discovery and balance.

How to Start This Journey Yourself

Our conversation also highlighted the importance of being open, willing to explore beyond the conventional, and aware of one’s body and emotions. Whether it’s dealing with conditions like PCOS or navigating life’s ups and downs, Irene emphasizes that awareness and acceptance are the first steps towards healing and transformation.

We wrapped up by encouraging everyone to embrace this journey of balancing energies. Whether it’s through taking Irene’s free womb quiz, attending her workshop on sacred sexuality, or simply being more in tune with one’s body and cycles, there is a path for everyone. For those interested in learning more, the links to these resources are available at the top of this page.

I hope you found this as enlightening as I found the conversation with Irene Sanchez-Celis. Don’t forget to share this post with someone who might benefit from understanding and embracing their feminine energy.
