Show Notes

I am extremely thrilled that you joined me for this enlightening discussion with Dr. Sonia Tan. Today we celebrate the Chinese New Year, the year of the Wood Dragon. Together, we unraveled the intricate world of Chinese New Year and Chinese Astrology by discussing various aspects of the wood dragon year, the five elements and how they shape our destiny, and Dr. Tan’s fascinating path to becoming an expert in this field of study.

The Chinese New Year and Chinese Astrology 🏮

The Chinese New Year aligns with the lunar calendar. Each year is represented by one of twelve animal zodiac signs and one of the five elements. This year, we celebrate the year of the wood dragon, an exciting and mystical year ahead.

Chinese Astrology plays a significant role in understanding and predicting the characteristics, personalities, and events in people’s lives. It’s so much more than just knowing your animal sign! The birth year, month, day, and time all determine a person’s constitutional energy and serve as a roadmap to an individual’s destiny.

Unveiling the Mysteries of the Dragon Year 🐉

Dr. Sonia Tan elucidated several salient points about the year of the wood dragon. On the other side, potential effects it could have. Yang wood, representing the dragon, is about vision, growth, learning, and moving forward. There is also an inherent conflict between the Yang wood (heaven’s energy) and the earth (earth’s energy), which signals potential conflicts and clashes throughout the year.

In practical terms, this may influence how individuals approach their personal and professional growth. It is a year of pushing boundaries, moving forward with purpose, and not fearing challenges.

The Scope of Chinese Astrology

The fascinating aspect of Chinese Astrology is its breadth and depth — it’s much like peeling back the layers of an onion. It incorporates the understanding of the five elements, Yin and Yang balances, and communication with the cosmos. Interestingly, knowing a person’s element can also guide communication and treatment in a healthcare setting.

Dr. Tan offers a comprehensive course on Chinese Astrology spanning over two years. This program aims to build a solid foundation and understanding of the five phases. Also, their interactions, and their influence on individuals. This opens doors to deeper self-awareness and discovery.

The Intricate Link between Destiny and Astrology 🌌

A widespread belief in Chinese metaphysics is that fate and destiny are not only determined by one’s birth chart. Your environment and the people you choose to associate with play equally vital roles. Life’s significant events and experiences, whether positive or negative, are seen as stepping stones on the path to becoming the best versions of ourselves. What is vital in all this is maintaining a balance – amplifying the good while minimally impacting the bad.

Guided by this understanding, you can navigate life more fluidly, understanding that these variables constantly shape and influence your destiny. Essentially, this blueprint is embedded within us since birth. It evolves as we react to life’s experiences, shaping our constitution and our destiny.

Conclusion

Our journey into the world of Chinese Astrology was indeed an enlightening one. The Year of the Wood Dragon brings forth an array of fascinating interactions. Additionally, potential conflicts, and growth opportunities that can significantly impact your daily life. Understanding the principles of Chinese Astrology may not only provide insight into the year ahead but a deeper understanding of one’s destiny.

Thank you for being with us on this enlightening journey. Stay tuned for more fascinating insights into Traditional Chinese Medicine. Keep aspiring, keep growing, and continue carving your path. The Year of the Wood Dragon promises a compelling journey ahead.
