Show Notes
As I sit here reflecting on the incredible journey of guest episodes so far that has been the Acupro Show. It’s hard to believe that it’s now been a year since I embarked on this adventure. When I first launched the show on January 10th, 2024, I couldn’t have predicted how much joy and knowledge it would bring to both me and the community. Each week, through the magic of audio, I’ve been able to connect with fantastic guests and listeners alike. So, join me as I look back on some of the most impactful episodes and share highlights from our most downloaded guest features. Your support has been invaluable, and I’m excited to see where the next year takes us!
Guest Episodes – Starting with Friends and Expanding the Circle
In the early days of the podcast, my nerves were calmed by interviewing friendsβpeople I felt comfortable with. This laid the foundation for gradually reaching out to other experts who I knew could offer immense value to our listeners. About six months in, an exciting shift happened: experts in the field began reaching out to be guests on the show! This serendipity led to meeting numerous Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) rock stars whose wisdom enriched our conversations.
Reflecting on Top Guest Episodes
Today, I want to highlight some of our top guest episodes, as revealed by download counts, and give you a glimpse into the diverse range of topics we’ve covered. If you’ve missed any of them, be sure to check out the links in the show notes.
Dr. Yvonne Farrell’s Masterclass on Psycho-Emotional Pain
One of our top most downloaded guest episodes was number 45 with Dr. Yvonne Farrellβmy TCM idol. She generously shared her profound understanding of psycho-emotional pain related to the Chong Mai, delivering insights that left both me and our audience inspired. Her explanations of the Chong Maiβs role in human existence and emotional distress were unparalleled.
Understanding Gut Health with Dr. Alex Dragan
In episode 15, my friend Dr. Alex Dragon, a naturopathic doctor, joined me to discuss gut health. We explored the fascinating gut-mind connection and how Chinese medicine parallels naturopathy in treating emotional imbalances. Our conversation provided a comprehensive look at how both conventional and ancient practices converge to understand and manage gut-related issues.
Bridging Chinese Medicine and Thyroid Health with Dr. Jeda Boughton
One of the top guest episodes was without a doubt episode 4. Dr. Jeda Boutonβa dear friend and thyroid expertβshed light on the complexities of thyroid disorders and their interplay with fertility. Our guest episode conversation revealed the depth of how interconnected thyroid health is with overall wellness. Particularly in women, and how stress and lifestyle can play pivotal roles in disorders like hypothyroidism and Hashimoto’s.
Natural Beauty with Cosmetic Acupuncture Expert Dr. Rebecca Stephens
Episode 13, featuring Dr. Rebecca Stephens, covered the realm of cosmetic acupuncture versus conventional methods like Botox. It was enlightening to discuss how acupuncture provides a non-invasive, holistic pathway to skin rejuvenation, emphasizing the importance of lifestyle and natural health.
Evidence-Based Acupuncture with Sandro Graca
Finally, I was thrilled to have Sandro Graca to be featured as one of our guest episodes. He is a key figure in the evidence-based acupuncture movement. In our guest episode together, Sandro highlighted the importance of research in validating acupuncture as a credible medical intervention and how this ongoing work helps bridge the knowledge gap for practitioners and patients alike.
